Tremont District Library is excited to offer the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. The concept is simple. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1000 books (yes, books can be repeated!) before kindergarten. When your child reaches certain milestones, he or she gets a small reward. Your child’s name will also be put up on our Bookshelf display in the children’s area.
This is a great way to bond with your child and get them on their way to becoming lifelong readers!

Kick-off date for this program is Friday, February 12 at our regularly scheduled lapsit program.
