Thud, thud, thud….The library is getting a new roof!

Expect the library to be more noisy (and messy!) than normal.

Parking notice: Workers will be using our back parking lot, and later will do some work in front of the building. You will still be able to access the building but you may need to park/walk around the construction.

Thank you for your patience.

Children, teens, and adults will get the chance to read and win prizes.
We are planning many special programs for all ages.

Tremont District Library is excited to offer the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. The concept is simple. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1000 books (yes, books can be repeated!) before kindergarten. When your child reaches milestones (100 books, 200 books, etc), he or she gets a small reward. Your child’s name will also be put up on our Bookshelf display in the children’s area.
This is a great way to bond with your child and get them on their way to becoming lifelong readers!

Kick-off date for this program is Friday, February 12 at our regularly scheduled lapsit program.
